Graduated from the prestigious Gorski High School in Warsaw and continued his education by taking various classes and courses. Lived in Mrozy, near Minsk Mazowiecki, Warsaw, Radosc near Warsaw, Sulejowek near Warsaw and in Gdansk. Until 1945 worked for various local governments. After moving to Gdansk in 1945 worked as an accountant in the City Slaughterhouse until 1949 when he started to work in the Fourth District Polish National Bank in Gdansk becoming the Head of the Credit Department and finally as the Director of the Fifth District Bank. Retired in 1971. During the Second World War, he was active in the Polish Home Army in the Warsaw Gryf District; however, after the war he never revealed his past role in anti-Nazi resistance movement fearing reprisals from the Communists who persecuted all patriotic Poles. His main hobbies were: playing bridge, fishing, and picking mushrooms. | ||
